Serving Those who Serve Us

On June 13, 2015, the American Red Cross hosted a baby shower to support Women Veterans who are new or expecting mothers.  Here is what a couple had to say about the event.

Thank you so very much for throwing the best Baby Shower ever for all of the expecting women veterans! What an incredible day, we had so much fun! I know it’s not easy to prepare and I’m so grateful for all of your kindness. Thank you also for your incredible gifts: diapers, a diaper bag, bibs and all those adorable clothes. All of it will be put to good use. God bless and thank you so much!

I won’t forget your kindness!

Here’s a mom who was not able to attend the baby shower because she went in labor that same day. Thankfully her mom was able to come in her place.

I wanted to say thank you so very much for the shower and gifts.

Silace was born 13, June 2015. The car seat was a blessing since he only weighed 4 lbs 11oz when we left the hospital.  I attached a few photos from from the day we left the hospital and a few others of him once he was home with his sister Skylar and Mommy.

Thank you for letting Vickie attend in my place. I am truly grateful and blessed that you selected to do this for my family.
