Times of Crisis: A Volunteer’s Perspective

Albert Broucher, a volunteer at American Red Cross’ St. Louis Chapter, journals his days in the life in Houston, Texas.

Day 1: Boots on the Ground–

I made it back yesterday about noon. The manager that was standing in has done a remarkable job. She’s a supervisor , but, should be promoted to manager. She has more skills than I.

This thing has gone to National now, but hopefully, everything is starting to normalize. most of the rivers are leveling off or are below flood stage now. Did they actually wait for me to get back to start behaving? Let’s hope so.

Until next time…..May God bless and keep you all
